Great Ocean Road
and Goldfields Victoria
Originating south of Geelong at Torquay and winding along
the spectacular southern coastline all the way to the border
with South Australia, the Great Ocean Road is a wonderful
experience, an unforgettable trip not to be missed.
On one side forest clad hills and mountains cut by streams
and rivers, on the other the striking coastline; beaches,
rocky bays, sheer sandstone cliffs, surf, salt spray, sea
breezes.
Stay at Anglesea or Lorne in a holiday home, camp out at Wye
River under the looming Otway Ranges and tramp the
rainforest trails, drive round the Cape to Port Campbell
National Park, stand atop the sheer cliffs and look in awe
at the Apostles, The Arch and Sentinel Rock rearing out of
the surf, on to Warrnambool and Portland then through the
wilderness areas of Discovery Bay to the border.
A journey of discovery in an elemental and beautiful place.
