Anzac Centenary Collector Coins

The Royal Australian Mint’s Official Anzac Centenary Coin Program will be an overarching theme for the Mint during the 2014-2018 commemorative period.

This program was launched in March 2014. The Anzac Centenary Commission recommended the creation of a coin program. Its aim is to capture Australia’s military history, to commemorate the service and sacrifice of Australians in war, conflict and peacekeeping operations for more than a century and to share those stories.

The Official Anzac Centenary Coin Program and many of the coins featured in it have been developed in partnership with the Australian War Memorial. These coins aim to remember significant events, battles and Australians, exploring themes from the Boer War to modern conflicts in the Middle East and Afghanistan.

The Australian public, coin collectors, military enthusiasts, veterans and servicemen and women may find certain coins of particular significance to them throughout the five year program.
