Fancy going further afield, right away from it all?

Try a trip to the State’s south west, down towards Cameron Corner, where Queensland meets New South Wales and South Australia.

Get there via Goondiwindi on the Macintyre River, home of the famous racehorse and the border with NSW, then on to St George and Cunnamulla and, if you’re really keen, dig for opals around Thargomindah. Now you’re really in the bush.

North and west is Birdsville, where the famous annual horserace is held, and the Channel Country, land of floods and droughts.
