Barossa South Australia
The beautiful Barossa Valley, together with the Eden Valley, makes up one of the worlds greatest wine producing areas. An hour's drive north of Adelaide, its only twenty km's wide by thirty long and was founded by German settlers who introduced viticulture and European architecture to the region. It is friendly, picturesque and has a unique food and wine culture supported by festivals and a strong sense of history.

Visit for a day or a week, marvel at the rich European architecture; the villages, the churches and the chateau, tour one of the fifty vineyards and taste the excellent wines, dine in a restaurant and sample the local foods; wursts, breads and pastries, float over the valley in a hot air balloon, shop in the art and craft shops, visit the galleries, try a farmstay or rent a cottage, stay in a motel or a country house.
