Lying south and west of Adelaide, Kangaroo Island is a place of natural beauty; of wildlife and wilderness with large areas protected by national parks. Its protected nature means an abundance of wildlife both on land and in the sea but at the same time it is easily accessible by vehicular ferry or a brief flight from Adelaide.
