 Tropical
North West -
Western Australia
Vast, empty and a true outback wilderness fringed by the
Indian Ocean and the Timor Sea on the one hand and the
mighty inland deserts on the other. Travelling the North
West Coastal Road will take you from Dampier, where you can
fish for barramundi off the pristine Archipelago, to the
white sands of Cable Beach and the historic pearl town of
tranquil Broome, and on to Kununurra and Lake Argyle and the
amazing Bungle Bungles.
Explore the Kimberley's and the Pilbara, or the gorges and
waterfalls of Karijini National Park, tough it out with your
four wheel drive in the Ruddall River National Park, take a
hiking trip or a scenic flight, inspect the dinosaur
footprints, cruise the inland waterways, have a refreshing
swim in a cool billabong, camp out under the stars, admire
the rich aboriginal culture. |
